To celebrate Singapore’s National Day, we’ve come up with a quiz on Singapore’s distinct strain of Mandarin Chinese, which we call 新加坡华语 (Xīnjiāpō Huáyǔ).
It’s pretty similar to mainland China’s 普通话(Pǔtōnghuà) and Taiwan’s 國語 (Guóyǔ) but there are some terms that are unique to Singapore (and maybe Malaysia, though not always).
